Comfortable, lightweight and practical, an unlined jacket is a great investment.
Great for the summer, usually made of linen or light cotton is ideal for any occasion, from the office to an aperitif.
The first unlined jackets were born from the creative inspiration of Giorgio Armani, which abolished the structural rigidity of this iconic garment of the male wardrobe, thus depriving the classic jacket of its lining and padding. This change made it much lighter.
Regarding their appearance, the unlined jackets and blazers look externally less rigid than those lined. Their internal parte, on the other hand, have no linen and visible seams, which can be finished and covered, usually with contrast colored silk, or sealed with the same fabric of the jacket.
